On Monday, September 19, PlayGround will host its annual fundraising gala, celebrating the national scope of PlayGround’s programming in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York City and now Chicago. With the newest addition of PlayGround-Chicago in 2022, PlayGround now produces 4 unique Monday Night PlayGrounds, the signature short play program which has run successfully in the Bay Area for almost 30 years, with writers pools in 4 major theatre hubs. The One PlayGround Gala will bring together Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York and Chicago PlayGround companies to celebrate PlayGround’s national presence, as we continue to expand and create even more opportunities for working artists across the country. This year’s Gala will be a hybrid online and in-person event, with gatherings large and small in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and throughout the country, all connected via Vimeo Live and featuring live performances, testimonials, and a 4-course gourmet meal. All proceeds support PlayGround's national programming. Host Tickets: $500. Host Tables of 8 are $4,000 and include the opportunity to host your favorite PlayGround playwright(s). For more information, email or call (415) 992-6677.

Performance Notes

This year, PlayGround offers Gala guests the opportunity to join us in-person at San Francisco's Verdi Club or participate in small to large gatherings throughout the country, with all guests enjoying a four-course gourmet meal and live entertainment from San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. San Francisco guests are invited to sign up for the in-person gala at the Verdi Club. For Bay Area guests wishing to join remotely or guests participating from outside of the Bay Area, select the "offsite venue" listing.

Individual host tickets are $500. To purchase a host table for 8, reserve 8 host tickets.

This is a general admission performance - seating is on a first come, first serve basis, unless the patron has selected “preferred seating”, in which case seats will be reserved under the patron’s name and held until the start of the performance.

Seating generally begins 15 minutes prior to start of performance.
